Caleb's World was built from love, perseverance, and the belief that every child deserves to be heard.
Caleb came into the world meeting every milestone. He babbled, he spoke, he laughed. As a mother, Nash watched with joy as her son developed just as expected. There were no signs of what was to come — just a thriving, happy little boy.
Then, everything changed. Caleb began to regress. Words he once said faded away. Skills he had mastered disappeared. What followed was a heartbreaking and disorienting journey — watching your child lose what they had, searching desperately for answers, and navigating a system that felt overwhelming and unfamiliar.
Doctors and therapists introduced AAC — Augmentative and Alternative Communication. At first, it was hard to swallow. Handing your child a device and watching them learn a new language just to express their most basic needs felt foreign, even heartbreaking at times. Nash had to grieve the communication she had known before — and slowly, bravely, learn to embrace a new path forward.
With the combination of dedicated speech therapy and consistent AAC use, something extraordinary began to happen. At age 10, Caleb produced his first sounds. What some might overlook as small was everything — a breakthrough that proved the power of patience, persistence, and the right support. Every sound was celebrated like the miracle it was.
Today, Caleb is repeating words and phrases. His progress is real, it is meaningful, and it continues every single day. He is not defined by what he lost — he is defined by how far he has come, and how much further he will go. And he does it all with a spirit that inspires everyone around him.
Nash founded Caleb's World because she is that parent — the one in the waiting room, the one Googling at midnight, the one fighting for her child every single day. She built the resource she desperately needed, so that no family has to navigate this journey alone.
"Caleb taught me that communication looks different for every child — and that every single form of it is valid, beautiful, and worth celebrating. He grew every day then, and he grows every day now. That's why we're here."
— Nash Caraballo, Founder & CEONash Caraballo is the heart and soul behind Caleb's World. As Caleb's mother, she lived this journey firsthand — the grief of regression, the uncertainty of AAC, the breakthroughs that came from never giving up. She knows what it feels like to celebrate a sound like it's a symphony, because it is.
Driven by the belief that no family should navigate this path alone, Nash founded Caleb's World — A Sensory Place to create the resource she wished had existed when her family needed it most. She is committed to building a therapy center rooted in compassion, inclusion, and excellence — a place where every child is celebrated exactly as they are.
